Workshop

This activity is only available in italian

The new space race isn't just for the world's major powers — it's a real opportunity for dynamic and innovative regions like Veneto. With the global space economy surpassing $500 billion — and projected to reach $1 trillion by 2040 — space has become a strategic frontier for innovation, growth, and competitiveness.

Veneto is ready for liftoff: its advanced industrial network, top-tier universities, and vibrant ecosystem of SMEs and startups make it a credible player in this emerging field. Boston Consulting Group, in collaboration with the Venice Sustainability Foundation, has analyzed the region's potential in the space economy, identifying high-impact technological and industrial development trajectories.

From precision components to space propulsion, quantum cybersecurity to agritech for long-duration missions — Veneto is already making its mark across the entire space value chain. It's an industrial and technological opportunity to strengthen the Region’s role in the new space economy, with significant impacts on employment, investment, and strategic supply chains.
