In 2024, the world produced 120 million tonnes of textile waste, the equivalent of over 200 Olympic stadiums filled with discarded clothing every year, with only a tiny fraction being transformed into new fibres. Eleonora Tieri, Project Leader at BCG, will help us understand that this enormous mountain of waste represents not only an environmental challenge but also an economic opportunity worth around £100 billion in unrecovered raw materials. In the workshop, we will discover solutions for achieving a circular textile economy, through technological innovations, sustainable business models and the active role of consumers and young innovators. Join us to understand how fashion can be a driver of innovation and change: a challenge that requires new ideas, skills and collective vision.

Workshop in collaboration with Boston Consulting Group (BCG), STEP Knowledge Partner.
